Linda was first a Big Sister in her 20s while living in Newfoundland. Decades later, she returned to Big Brothers Big Sisters with the same excitement and commitment, thrilled to be matched with her Little Sister, Ella, in November 2022. Since then, their relationship has flourished—rooted in Linda’s unwavering consistency and her belief in showing up, again and again, no matter what.
Together, Linda and Ella have explored a wide range of experiences. They’ve crafted and painted, hiked local trails, attended theatre shows, joined community parades, and even discovered new passions—like anime conventions! Linda has been intentional about creating opportunities for Ella to grow, encouraging her to build friendships at agency events, embrace new adventures, and step into her creativity with confidence.
While it’s clear that Ella shines in the arts, Linda has never stopped introducing her to new opportunities. Their adventurous spirit means that every outing—whether it’s a special community event or simply playing in a pile of fall leaves—becomes a memory they’ll both treasure.
Part of what makes this match thrive is the strong family dynamic that surrounds it. Linda shares how much she values the open communication and support she receives from Ella’s mom, who makes planning simple and even invites Linda to share in special moments like school concerts.
